In order for Antonio to really get into focus when coming to his pieces of art he dives into his own imagination to bring to life an image that speaks of the moment and spreads a sort of message without anyone having to really explain it.
Antonio Mora produces his work on providing a sense of stability and a imaginary touch to his dream world photographs.

Analysis
This is a portraiture which is a still life photo that consists of the natural and the unnatural world. There is a woman's face that has only been shown a little so, the only part of her that you can visibly see is her lips, neck, and a little bit of her shoulder, and nose. If you squint your eyes and look closely at the picture you can see little cracks on the photo which makes it look like the photo is about to peel off, as you look up where the head of the woman should be you would see an arched circle thing that almost looks like a bridge but it isn't. On the left hand side of the photo you can see a little bit of green leaves a bush that is just resting in the corner, then you see the reflection of the leaves and the circle thing on the bottom part of the woman's face. You can see that this artist has places a multiple of pictures on top of one another and then lowered the capacity and blended it all together. Feelings & Mood This picture reminds me of a snail because of how it swirls round and round and as it goes round the circles get smaller and smaller. I also realised that the smallest circle has been put as a replacement for a real eye which I found interesting. When looking closely at the photo you can see mini cracks and every time I look at it, it makes me feel a bit sick because it looks like someone is about to come through it as the affect of it is very realistic almost like the artist has given the woman tunnel vision. My Opinion I like how realistic it looks and how the artist have used other objects or bits of nature as a replacement for different body parts. Personally I feel that this picture tells a story, a young woman who is broken which things going round in her head and is very envious I used the word envious as I saw the colour green. I also like how you can interpret this picture however way you want to and that's a good thing because with other pictures, it's just one way and you only see it one way but with this photo you can tell a story with it or you can have different views and opinions on it. I choose this picture because I haven't seen something so random before and also the cracks on the photo caught my attention as it was the only picture that had a crack that was very profound, lastly I choose this piece as I thought that it had so much detail in it and it would give me a good reason to write about it. Composition
The focal point in this photo is the swirly circle bit, the reason why it is the focal point for me is because the holes spaces in-between the circles are dark and that brought it to my attention. The leading lines are not that clear but I can tell you where I think the leading lines are directing me, such as; I feel that the circle bit is the eye and then that leads you to look at the other eye which has been replaced by leaves, then you look down at the lips and down the woman's neck, you then notice the cracks, you would begin to see the reflection on the dark bit of the photo etc. Where do I look 1st 2nd or 3rd? Firstly, I look at the smallest circle because it gives me the illusion that something is in there. Secondly, I look at the green bushes in the corner because it's the only bright colour on the photo. Thirdly, I look at the cracks on the photo at first I didn't really see it but as I zoomed in on the photo it looked so detailed and just there in my face. Also the reason I looked at this afterwards is because I didn't know what it was as I thought that the photo had a mistake but it wasn't. Shape to the Composition Everything seems very spread out but at the same time very compact, but the only thing that has been stable is the woman in the middle of the page. It's hard to explain where the shape of the composition is, because of how weirdly the piece of art has been put together but I guess that it's between a rock and a hard place. Colour & Mood There are not that many bright colour's expect from the green colour but apart from that their are very dull and navy colour's in this photo. I like how the colour's contrast and move on from being dull to becoming very bright and then just standing out. The colour's on the photo give the mood of the picture a very mysterious and magical feel to it, because it is very out of the ordinary and because the colour's are so vivid and mild it gives of a very weird mood to the photo. The dominant colour was green as it is the only colour that really stands out as it is the only colour that is bright so that draws your attention, also it brings out the detail in the picture. Descriptive Names for the colour's: Vibrant green, Pastel grey, Navy blue, Ashy white, Creamy pink. Light & Tone There are not many light but their are tones in the photo, you have a variety of dark tones, shadows, highlights etc. As an example around the woman there is a dark kind of shadow, and when you look at the woman's skin it's very light but then there are bits where it's a little darker than other parts. But I don't feel that this picture has that much of really light tones and extremely dark tones. The weight of the picture looks very heavy, maybe because of the dark colours also the light and tone make the mood of the photo very deep and suspicious but magical at the same time. Texture & Pattern Jagged, Reflective, has like a very pastel affect on the picture, the pattern is very random but for some reason it looks balanced to me, very well out together and very complex. What have I learnt & how will I use what I have learnt? . I have learnt that when creating piece of art you can use your imagination and bring people to your world. . I have learnt to make people question your photo and to have a opinion on how your work makes you feel. . To create and make up your own art and to put people out of their comfort zone. |
